Mia, Zizi and other stuff

This very little and very cute Chihuahua is Azizi, also commonly known as 'lap whore'. Unusual for Chihuahua's, he loves anyone that will allow him a napping spot in their arms or on their lap.

And... were done, according to Zizi
This lovely black lab mix is Mia. She can make me do anything she wants by looking at me with those very puppy dog eyes. I keep telling my friend Ken not to come looking at my house if she disappears one day.

I posted pics earlier of my orchid, which my husband gave me 31/2 years ago on our 1st valentines together. Here is my Valentines Orchid #2, which I just recieved this Valentines Day. I much prefer orchids over roses and my husband knew that I had been wishing for a white orchid. I sure hope it does as well as my other one.

Lisa, this one is for you. As you can clearly see pupils, this cat is not the spawn of satan. I do have to admit though, that they are kinda freaky looking, but a gorgeous cat nonetheless.

Great Salt Lake Marina

Saturday I got up early and seeing that it was such a gorgeous day, I went for a ride. I found myself at the Great Salt Lake Boat Marina. Its about 1.5 miles past the Saltair. Of course I had my camera with me! I was kinda bummed because there is this really cool old building with an old trolley car that has grafitti all over it that I would have loved to get some pics of, however, there were NO TRESPASSING signs all over with barbwire fences. When I got to the Marina, it was gorgeous and WARM! There is this great black cat that instantly came up to me to get some loves. I think it lives there because it had on a collar and was very loving. Anyway, I shot some cute pics of this lovey black cat.

The 'WEASEL'

Today I got to try out my new 50mm 1.4 lens that I just got on Friday. All I have to say is, I LOVE IT! What a difference it makes to be able to open up the apperature and get a more narrow depth of field shot. I makes the picture so much more interesting. Its also great for getting shots in lower light situations. My subject for today was this great bus. It belongs to Jim Unopulos and is slated to be featured in the March SCAC newsletter. It's a 1957 and is appropiately named 'WEASEL'. He plans to paint the outside, but if it were me, I would leave it just the way it is. It has so much texture and character. I had a lot of fun shooting this bus. Here are some of my favs from the shoot. P.S. My favorite thing about this bus is the CRAZY! green rat head that heads the bus.

Card Draft

Here is a draft of a card that I have been working on. I have a friend who works as a grafic designer and he has offered to help me come up with a logo. I just love this pic of my dog Cima, (a.k.a. Sepa, Gupa, Gu and Fella). He has so much character, including the fact that he is literally the most flatuent and gassy animal I have ever known. Nonetheless, he is a great dog and a perfect candidate for the Salty Paws mascot.

My Gorgeous Valentine's Orchid

On the eve of Valentine's Day, my Orchid, which was Chris' gift to me on our first Valentine's Day, has decided to bloom. Orchids are some of my favorite flowers. I love the simplicity of them. I am not an expert when it comes to taking care of Orchids, so whatever I am doing that makes this plant want to be so prolific, I only hope it continues.
